Myeongdong Seoul Bright Eye Clinic, 8F, 123 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, about 60 m from Myeongdong Station Exit 7, lists intraocular lens implantation (ICL) on one listing page we checked in November 2026, together with LASIK, LASEK and cataract surgery. A second listing for the same clinic shows lens implant surgery only in connection with cataract lenses. Neither page named STAAR Surgical's EVO lens, so ask the clinic in writing which phakic lens it uses, whether toric versions are available, and how lenses are sized. It is the only Myeongdong clinic we could verify for ICL.

Is Myeongdong a practical base if my eyesight is very poor?

Myeongdong helps here: the airport train and the clinic are both on simple, direct routes, and you can pick a hotel within a short walk of Myeongdong Station Exit 7.
- Bring two pairs of glasses and keep one in your hand luggage, because you may not be allowed to wear contact lenses for days before the exam.
- Choose a hotel on the Toegye-ro side of Myeongdong, near the station exits, so the walk to the clinic is short and familiar.
- Dilation day: after the sizing exam your pupils may stay dilated for hours. Plan to go straight back to the hotel.
- Surgery day: take a taxi or walk with a companion, even for a short distance. Glare is common at first, and Myeongdong's evening crowds are hard to navigate.
